This is the remains of plane s/n 42-31552. The plane was piloted by Lt Kerr and was attempting to seek asylum in Switzerland. The plane was badly shot up on a mission to Munich, Germany. The plane crashed into a mountainside and all the officers were killed. Of the rest of the crew, one parachuted into Switzerland and was interned, the othere parachuted into Germany and became POW's. |
